Andrew Hartwick, PhD, Associate Professor at The College of Optometry at The Ohio State University discussed his research surrounding traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients who experience increased light sensitivity, or photophobia.

Hartwick has always been interested in understanding why this sense of light brightness changes in these patients. What he believes is that the signal that goes from the eye to the brain about how bright it is, is altered after the injury.
