Dr. John Chabot on Obesity and Pancreatic Cancer

Published Online: Thursday, January 12, 2012
In this video, John Chabot, MD, professor of clinical surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, discusses the relationship between pancreatic cancer and obesity. Although people who are obese are more likely to develop pancreatic cancer, it is not clear that obesity causes the disease. In addition, he explains that increased fat is associated with a worse prognosis for those who have pancreatic cancer.
