Dr. Shrikhande says with the endovascular repair of aneurysms, patients can oftentimes go home a day or two after the procedure. Other benefits include high tolerability and the ability to perform the procedure with localized anesthesia. This minimally invasive procedure is also safe for elderly patients or patients with other medical risk factors can have the procedure. Dr. Shrikhande also discusses grafts used to treat aortic aneurysms.
