Science Daily
Science Daily is a free online news source that features news and articles on a variety of topics including: computer science, nanotechnology, medicine, psychology, biology, climate, space, physics, mathematics, chemistry, archeology, paleontology, and others. This site is a truly unique source of current scientific information.

CalorieLab
CalorieLab is a just what it sounds like- a place to look up the calorie content of foods. CalorieLab has calorie information for just about every restaurant chain and type of food imaginable, so you can check the nutritional information before you even head to the restaurant. The site also lists the calorie-burning stats for lots of day-to-day activities, and there's a blog linking to food news around the Web. In addition there is a page devoted to reviews of popular diets.

Animoto
Animoto makes cool slideshow videos using your own uploaded photos and music.  Just select which pictures you want to use (from your hard drive or a photo site), arrange them in any order you want, choose a music track or upload your own, and then sit back for a few minutes and let Animoto do its thing. The result is a polished finished product complete with transitions and effects. The site states no two slideshows are the same. Thirty-second clips are free, longer clips cost $3.

Scrapblog
Scrapblog is another great site to take your photos to. Scrapblog lets you upload your photos from Flickr, MySpace, Facebook, Picasa, and many more photo sites, and use them to construct multimedia scrapbooks. You can also use video in your scrapbooks. When you start to create your scrapbook a page opens up that looks like a program running on your computer with a full set of menus. The interface is intuitive and easy to use. Scrapblog also offers the ability to order  print copies of  your creations.

Chime.TV
Chime.TV Last year when a recording for a crucial season finale somehow didn’t come out this website made me into a hero. Chime.TV pulls from the multiple sites (  blip.tv, Break.com, DailyMotion, Google Videos, GUBA, Kewego, MetaCafe, MySpace, Veoh.com, Vimeo, YouTube) to make editor-created channels filled with your favorite stuff. The channels feature the latest episodes of shows   as well as channels for news, extreme sports, technology, and about 20 more—including stuff from the network TV sites. You might wonder ‘why not just got to the individual sites?’ but   Chime.TV brings together millions of videos from across the web to create a TV-like experience within your browser.  You also have the ability to search for specific shows and movies. No more worries if your DVR malfunctions.

TypeRacer
TypeRacer Need to brush up on your typing skills in order to become more efficient with your EMR? Think learning to type is boring? TypeRacer is the first multi-player typing game. It makes typing a sport, and a lot of fun. But beware, some of the top players type over 100 words per minute! The game is surprisingly addictive and really will improve your typing skills.

How many of these sites had you heard of or been to? Did I miss one of your favorite sites? Let me know!
