Alan Cheng, MD, from Johns Hopkins Hospital discussed some of the potential warning signs of the condition as well as what can be done to help prevent the events from being fatal during a recent interview with MD Magazine.

The technology for implantable defibrillators has come a long way since its beginning and has proven its worth in many patients. With battery life being a concern there is still more work to be done in the field with researchers looking at how best to improve the device.
