The TIMI study group has been around for more than 30 years but even after all that time they continue to work to find new ways to help patients with cardiovascular disease and the health care professionals who treat them.

Marc Bonaca, MD, MPH, from Brigham & Women's Hospital, and a researcher with the TIMI group reported on some of the latest results coming out of Boston during the American Heart Association's annual scientific sessions in Orlando. While previous studies have developed a risk score for acute coronary issues, Bonaca said the newest developments focus on the long term care of patients which could help in many areas of patient care in the future.
