Speaking at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology in Chicago, Regina Druz, MD, from the Integrative Cardiology Center of Long Island, discussed one case she saw where a patient benefitted from lifestyle medicine resulting in losing weight, reducing medication, and enjoying an overall higher quality of life. Druz said as these benefits are seen more across the medical spectrum the practice of lifestyle medicine will hopefully become a larger part of basic patient care.
