The life of a civilian doctor may not be all that different from a military doctor but there are certain differences which can make it a unique experience for those who serve in military medicine.

For Lt. Col. Todd C. Villines, MD, working at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center puts him at the forefront of military medicine. Having worked there for many years Villines said he has seen the progression from working there during peace time and when the war on terror was at its peak. As a result he said he has a great appreciation for the people he works with as well as the brothers and siters in arms he has treated during his career.
