New MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives will provide peer-to-peer exchange on the insights changing medicine

Plainsboro, NJ – May 23, 2011–For more than 10 years, MDNG has covered the emerging information technologies that have become an integral part of modern medical practice. To further meet the changing needs of our audience, MDNG will be renamed MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives, with a revamped editorial mission to provide a forum for debate on the clinical topics and issues that are top of mind in today's challenging and evolving clinical environment.

MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives will meet the growing demand for credible, practical clinical information, provided by physicians for physicians. The core editorial concept of this exciting new approach in health care publishing, "peer-to-peer exchange," will capture the unique voice of the practicing physician and communicate real-world information and recommendations that physicians can turn to for support in daily practice.

For each issue of MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives, our editors and advisors will convene roundtables of distinguished physicians and other key experts to discuss the latest research and new thinking in the diagnosis and treatment of key conditions and diseases. Roundtable participants will be selected based both on their clinical expertise, and their eye for provocative and diverse points of view. MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives will distill the analysis and commentary from the roundtables into usable information for practicing physicians.

"Physicians can turn to MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives for informed, actionable commentary and analysis provided by their colleagues and peers on the front lines of medicine. We'll offer a fresh take on the issues of the day, put it all into context, and provide real-world information that readers can use when making challenging clinical and business decisions," said Brian Haug, President of Intellisphere.

In addition to the articles based on physician roundtables, each issue of MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives will also cover hot-button topics in health policy, practice management, and other areas, and feature interviews with key opinion leaders and profiles of the people and personalities driving change in medicine.

MD Magazine: Peers & Perspectives will be published in primary care, neurology, hospital medicine, and pediatrics editions.
