The Holidays May Help Sell Your House

The holidays can throw a wrench into a lot of plans. It’s the end of the year, people go on vacation, issues come up at work and in most of the country the weather can be difficult and unpredictable. However, listing your house during the holidays might not be such a bad idea these days.
According to Zillow’s blog, there are a number of reasons why you should list your home, even though conventional wisdom might tell you to wait until the new year or even until spring.
First and foremost, the internet means people can more easily look at properties than in the past, when planning parties and holiday shopping and work made it difficult to find time to go out with a real estate agent.
Your house will also face less competition during the holidays. Since that aforementioned wisdom means people are less likely to put their house up for sale or might even take delist it during the holidays, your house might stand out more in a market that is oversaturated during the rest of the year.
Low inventory means that demand for your house will go up. So the holidays might actually be the best bet.
