Similar to third rail issues are hot button issues that get a lot of views or chatter on social media and are useful topics for nascent bloggers. Here is some sick care and medical hot button issues that just might make your next posts go viral:

1. How much money doctors make

2. Anything that has to do with electronic medical records

3. Maintenance of certification fights

4. Replacing doctors with technology or advanced practice professionals like RNs or PAs

5. Shifting fee for service reimbursement to value added reimbursement with little or no input from doctors

6. Creating more medical administrators

7. Drop out doctors and those retiring early because of hassle factors

8. The business of medicine and physician entrepreneurship

9. Best Doctor magazine episodes

10. Medical student debt and the need for medical education reform
