At major institutions like Tulane University there is a considerable amount of focus and work on finding better ways to diagnose and treat sarcoidosis.

While there are not many centers like Tulane in the country that only makes them work at their task that much harder to help as many patients as possible. Lesley Ann Saketkoo, MD, MPH, said that the Tulane facility works hard to stay on top of the field and help provide their patients the best care possible. She credited several mentors for helping her and the staff reach the elite levels of expertise in the field and said the goal is to help other doctors better treat this population in the near future.
