Even as the annual CHEST meeting moved across the border to Montreal the goal of the event was the same, to provide education to attendees on a wide range of topics.

Alex Niven, MD, from the University of Washington discussed some of the goals of the annual conference and how they reach those goals. Niven served as one of the program chairs for the conference and helped shaped what the event would be for the more than 4000 people in attendance.

As part of the annual CHEST meeting in Montreal new guidelines were released and discussed on a variety of topics. While in the past these guidelines may have taken a long period of time to reach the doctors that same information can now be seen within minutes of its release through a variety of platforms.

At large conferences like CHEST there can be a wealth of information delivered in a variety of ways. Finding the best methods to deliver that information can be important in helping them deliver those new ideas to their practices and patients.
