Getting a proper diagnosis for pediatric multiple sclerosis is not an easy task and requires a partnership between doctors, patients and their families.

From talking to the parents about their child's symptoms to working with the children through diagnosis and treatment it can often be a more involved process than with adult patients. Emmanuelle Waubant, MD, from the University of California at San Francisco discussed the best practices for doctors in this situation during the American Academy of Neurology's annual meeting in Washington DC.
