Michael Kelton, Esq., a partner with Abrams Fensterman and director of the firm’s Medical Malpractice Defense Practice, explained that he believed EHRs affect the litigation of malpractice cases mostly through the discovery of metadata.
“One of the first things that I request now is to have an audit trail,” Lori Abel Meyerhoffer, MD, JD, echoed. “I want to know everyone single person who hit that chart, what they did in it, how long they were there, what they modified.”
