The Best of the Year

The end of a year isn't just time to make bold predictions for the upcoming year; it's also the time to look back at what has passed. Here are the most read articles of the year, in case you missed them the first time.

The end of a year isn’t just time to make bold predictions for the upcoming year; it’s also the time to look back at what has passed, and 2012 was a year of change for Physician’s Money Digest.

At the end of August, PMD unveiled its new site layout and color scheme, doing away with the old green and blue and the short-lived red and black color schemes.

The election took over as early as September with Economists Make Shocking Election Predictions and then the debates kicked off with Mitt Romney’s crushing defeat of President Barack Obama.

Since the election, we’ve been covering the fiscal cliff from explaining what it is back when the majority of people didn’t know yet and dissecting the taxes and spending cuts to advice on what you can do to make it sting less and the (small amount of) progress made in fiscal cliff talks.

And while you, our readers, got very vocal in the comments of the election articles, there was another topic that spawned some interesting discussions in the comment sections: the physician shortage and physicians looking to leave health care.

However, none of those articles were the most popular of the year. So, in case you missed them, here were the most read articles of 2012:
