Generate Revenue the Easy Way

Generating revenue from your practice's website is probably not your top priority. But new tools from Google make it so easy, just about anyone can bring in extra money. Take Ad Manager for a spin and see how.

If your practice has a website, your main mission is likely to provide basic information about yourself, your staff, your contact information, what insurance companies you work with and so on. Even sites such as these can generate ad revenue. Are you taking full advantage of the possibilities? Traditionally, tagging, placing and serving ads on your site would cost more money than it might be worth to you. Not any more.

Ad Manager is a new, free service from Google that targets the small to medium business - which, I would venture, qualifies most practices. It is a hosted ad management solution that can help you sell, schedule, deliver, and measure all of your directly-sold and network-based inventory.

I am guessing that you don't have a sales staff to sell ad inventory on your site. With Ad Manager, a sales staff isn't necessary. Ad Manager has a simple, intuitive user interface. This decreases training time and trafficking steps with simplified tagging and inventory management. If you use AdSense to place ads on your site, you're already halfway there. Pay nothing for ad serving, feature upgrades, or system maintenance.

If you do have existing ad-serving partners and are worried about working exclusively with Ad Manager and AdSense, there's no need to fret. Google says you're always free to use other ad management and ad serving products along with Google Ad Manager. And you can set AdSense to deliver the best-paying ad source for each impression (cost per mill).
