Once a proper diagnosis is made there are a few options doctors and patients can consider when treating Alzheimer's Disease. This includes not only treatment options but how to manage the disease long term.

Charles DeCarli, MD, from UC Davis Health System said dementia and Alzheimer's Disease are conditions which are important to diagnose early which can provide better care for patients across a broader spectrum. A better understanding of the symptoms for patients, he said, can help them understand what is happening and what can be done to help them have a better quality of life.
