For this special edition National Wear Ready Day episode of Practical Cardiology guests will listen an interview with Jennifer Majersik, MD, professor of neurology at the University of Utah and associate editor of Stroke, a journal of the American heart association. The podcast is centered around a special Heart month edition of Stroke focusing on disparities in treatment and outcomes among women who experience a stroke.

In the special edition, the editorial team from Stroke highlights 9 different studies illuminating different disparities in care, outcomes, and authorship of studies based on gender. In our interview, Majersik also reflects on her personal experience as a female neurologist and how the hurdles she faced are different from those faced by early-career clinicians.
