Mark C. Crider, PhD, MSN, RN, from Duquesne University discussed a program being run at the Pittsburgh institution and others to help these men and women earn their degrees. Crider said there are 30 schools across the country running similar programs and said the results have been positive over time. At Duquesne, the program is helped by an academic coach and a recruiter aiming to not only help students succeed at the school, but also bring new veterans in to help the program move forward.
