Pieter Muntendam: Reducing Patients' Hospital Stay

Pieter Muntendam, MD, scPharmaceuticals, and colleagues hoped their productive can help reduce patients' length of stay in the hospital.

Pieter Muntendam, MD, scPharmaceuticals, explained that when beginning their research, they had to find a way to reduce the ph level, since it wasn't well tolerated. And, since becoming available early last year, it was found to be well tolerated. Muntendam also discussed two studies that were presented at the Heart Failure Society of America's 20th Annual Scientific Meeting, and was pleased that they both showed exactly what his team had hoped for.
