Q&A with Colleen Kelly: Treatment Options for C. Difficile Infections

Video

C. Difficile is big. It has surpassed MRSA as the most common hospital acquired infection.

Colleen Kelly, MD, FACG, Brown University shared at the 2015 American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting that they're seeing more C. Diff infections in even populations of people that were previously thought to be at low risk.

As such, Kelly and colleagues work to stratify it by how severe the infection is and what antibiotics to use to treat mild/moderate to more severe infections.
