As new treatments and procedures are developed in the field of retinal medicine the American Society of Retina Specialists is launching its own journal to help its members and others in the field advance patient care.

As new treatments and procedures are developed in the field of retinal medicine the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) is launching its own journal to help its members and others in the field advance patient care.

Tarek S. Hassan, MD, President of the ASRS said he believes the Journal of VitreoRetinal Diseases will be another tool doctors can use to not only share peer reviewed information with their colleagues but also learn from to apply in their practices. The Editor-in-Chief for the publication will be Donald J. D'Amico, MD, from Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital when it launches as a bi-monthly distribution cycle starting early next year.
