Success by Improving Patient Experience: Part III

Article

A family practice physician discusses changes you can make for a successful family practice. In the third podcast, she discusses what to take care of before the patient leaves the office.

In this three-part podcast series, Bhavna Tank, MD, a family practice physician in North Carolina, discusses how to make your family practice successful by keeping the patient in mind. In the third and final podcast, Tank focuses on what to take care of before the patient leaves the office at the end of an appointment.

Once the patient leaves your office, Tank said, it becomes more difficult to provide good service. Setting up the next appointment, double checking payments, etc., should be taken care of in office to eliminate the potential phone tag that can result from trying to catch the patient at home.
