There has been plenty of research to show that rehabilitation can help with the cognitive function of patients with multiple sclerosis. A recent study looked at whether advanced imaging can determine whether some patients will respond better to the therapy than others.

There has been plenty of research to show that rehabilitation can help with the cognitive function of patients with multiple sclerosis. A recent study looked at whether advanced imaging can determine whether some patients will respond better to the therapy than others.

Ilona Lipp, PhD, from Cardiff University discussed the usage of FMRI in this effort during the annual ECTRIMS conference in London. By using the fuctional MRI as opposed to the standard imaging techniques Lipp said researchers are able to get a better idea of how the brain works during the rehabilitation process.
