Paul Nyirjesy from Drexel University College of Medicine: Chronic Vaginitis a Multifaceted Issue for Patients and Doctors

Diagnosing a patient with chronic vaginitis is a delicate process as it can include several individualized conditions. Proper testing and symptom recognition can be a key part of finding the condition and helping the patients get the care they need as quickly as possible.

Paul Nyirjesy, MD, from the Drexel University College of Medicine discussed some of these conditions and why there can be challenges in the diagnosis process during a recent interview with MD Magazine. Nyirjesy serves as the director of Drexel Vaginitis Center, one of handful of specialized centers across the country and also works as a physician at Hahnemann University Hospital. Having such a specialized focus he said patients often come to the Philadelphia center from around the country and world after not getting the help they need from their local doctors.
