Statement of Need
The overall goal of the articles reviewed in the journal is to provide clinicians insight on new science and how it applies to current clinical practice. The articles chosen for this issue of the journal addresses important clinical issues such as strategies to minimize stent thrombosis, a devastating complication after coronary intervention, importance of appropriate evidence-and guideline-based therapies to improve and optimize clinical outcomes and safety of antihypertensive drugs. One study explores social issues such as potential cardiovascular benefits of marriage.
