In some patients, treating uveitis or glaucoma can be difficult enough when patients have both conditions simultaneously it can complicate the treatment process that much more.

Albert S. Khouri, MD, from the New Jersey Medical School, discussed this area of treatment during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in Chicago. Khouri said that while doctors may know their preferred methods to treat the two conditions individually it is important to adjust that when dealing with the two at the same time because of inflammation and potential issues with pressure levels in the eyes.
