An editor's error in the August 2006 Newsbeat misstated the change in prevalence of metabolic syndrome among adolescents over time. The overall prevalence of metabolic syndrome rose from approximately 4% to 6.4% between 1988-1994 and 1999-2000, not between 2003 and 2004.
