Symbicort Safety Instructions for Patients

Read the Medication Guide that comes with each new prescription and refill of Symbicort. It is also important to:

? Discontinue the regular (eg, 4 times/day) use of oral/inhaled short-acting beta₂-agonists

? Use short-acting, inhaled beta₂-agonists only for symptomatic relief of acute asthma symptoms

? Report any increased use of inhaled, short-acting beta₂-agonists (a marker of worsening asthma) to your doctor

? Do not use a long-acting inhaled beta₂-agonist while taking Symbicort

? Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
