In this HCP Live Cure Connections series, expert faculty gastroenterologist Dr. Mazyar Malakouti and patient panelist Jaimi Harrison discuss the patient journey through inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), from diagnosis to remission with biologic therapy. The conversation explores symptom recognition, treatment selection, monitoring strategies, medication safety concerns, and the importance of early intervention and ongoing communication between patients and providers. Jamie shares how biologic therapy improved her symptoms, restored her quality of life, and helped her regain confidence in daily activities, while Dr. Malakouti highlights the evolving treatment landscape in IBD and the importance of individualized, proactive care to help patients achieve long-term disease control and remission.
