With funding meant to bolster basic research and help make advances for a variety of conditions the fate of the 21st Century Cure Act is anything but secure even after passage by the US House of Representatives.

Rep. Frank Pallone from New Jersey, the ranking member on the House Energey and Commerce Committee discussed the bill prior to its passage in the house including how the bill provides funding for different areas of research. Pallone said that while the House of Representatives moved the bill through there were still questions to be answered including whether it would have the same success in the senate.
