As Northwell Health continues to grow its treatment of liver disease one of the biggest steps it is taking is developing a liver transplant program for patients in the Long Island area and beyond.

As Northwell Health continues to grow its treatment of liver disease one of the biggest steps it is taking is developing a liver transplant program for patients in the Long Island area and beyond.

In his role as the director of the Sandra Atlas Bass Center for Liver Diseases, David Bernstein, MD, is one of the people leading this effort to bring the complete treatment picture to the facility. Bernstein said that work has included bringing in new specialists and providers to be able to help patients from their first diagnosis through the course of their treatment for various conditions.
