As an international university St. Geroge's can take their own route when it comes to preparing their students while still abiding by some of the traditions of other schools in the United States.

Serving as the first President of the school, G. Richard Olds, said as a result of their unique circumstances St. George's can provide uniquie benefirst for the students from the time they arrive until they find work after residency and beyond. Olds said because they take a different approach to who they accept, they are able to find candidates who can thrive in conditions where others may not. He also said they can help train them in fields and locations where they will do the most good in the course of their careers. Even students who struggle to find a residency program are provided help as part of an effort Olds said is focused on investing in their overall future.
