Patients with cardiac conditions are familiar with the process of rehabilitation after an event as they work to get better. For pulmonary rehab the work is focused on different angles to help improve the quality of life in patients in different ways.

Kimberly A. Hardin, MD, from UC Davis Health System, said pulmonary rehabilitation is an extensive process from the time patients enter their care through palliative care and beyond. Hardin said depending on the condition rehabilitation specialists will then determine what their best course through the program will include. Whether it is COPD, asthma, or other conditions there are many factors to consider in treatment.
