Watch Those Cards

Some tips:

At the supermarket checkoutcounter, you hand the clerk your keychain with the store's discount card onit, along with several others. The clerkswipes the wrong card, and eventhough the register makes its familiarbeep, you've lost the savings that you'reentitled to. If you do your grocery shopping once a week, lost savings on a bigorder can add up to serious money. Store the cards you use mostoften in your wallet, not on your keychain. Give the clerk the card before thecheckout process starts, when you'renot distracted by the scanning and baggingof your order. Watch the registerscreen; if discounts aren't showing up,tell the clerk immediately.
