John M. Stamatos, MD, from Northwell Health discussed how the field has changed and what it has meant to help his patients through what can be very challenging and long lasting painful situations. Taking treatment on a case by case basis, Stamatos said it is important for doctors to be careful to provide the right care to patients without overprescribing with the risk of abuse and addiction.
