It was not that long ago when doctors would sometimes not discuss the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis with their patients. Now not only is it a condition they can diagnose but treatment is also progressing by leaps and bounds.

It was not that long ago when doctors would sometimes not discuss the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis with their patients. Now not only is it a condition they can diagnose but treatment is also progressing by leaps and bounds.

Clyde E. Markowitz, MD, from the University of Pennsylvania discussed a recent course given to new members of the field ahead of the annual meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Care Centers during a recent interview with MD Magazine. Markowitz said doctors entering the field now are considerably further ahead in their treatment options for patients than those that came before them and should see even more development in the field before their time is done.
