A lot is yet to be determined about the potential benefits of precision medicine in cardiology. As that field develops, there will also be questions about the varying benefits for men and women.

Nieca Goldberg, MD, from NYU Langone Medical Center, discussed what was a hot topic at the American Heart Association's Scientific Sessions in New Orleans, LA. Because of the inherent genetic differences between men and women, Goldberg said this developing form of treatment will vary by gender as well as many other factors when it is brough to the clinic.
