Mikkel Anthonisen, MD, highlights his experience as the founder of Oceans of Hope, a global voyage to change the perception of multiple sclerosis, at the 2014 Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting.

After spending the last 4 years treating multiple sclerosis (MS) patients, Dr. Anthonisen founded the Sailing Sclerosis Foundation to inspire them to continue living in the moment.

It is his ambition to change "the perception of what it's like to live with a disease like this, so you don't over identify yourself to the disease itself... so that the disease gets the place it deserves, " he said.​
