Julie Wieseler, PhD, a researcher at the University of Colorado at Boulder, discusses her research on how morphine affects future susceptibility to migraine. Her hypothesis is that morphine primes the brain to be more susceptible to future migraine triggers. Wieseler is the co-recipient of a 2009 research grant from the Migraine Research Foundation.
