Pediatric Nephrology and the Treatment of High Blood Pressure

Author(s):

In young patients dealing with high blood pressure, the choice of treatment options and success of the treatment depends largely on the patients and their families.

Patients of all ages with high blood pressure face a variety of challenges and potential complications. And while diet and exercise can be part of the solution, they are just one part of the treatment picture.

During the 2014 American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition in San Diego, pediatric nephrologist Dan Feig, MD, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, discussed options for treating high blood pressure in pediatric patients.
