Colleen Kelly, MD, FACG, commented at the 2015 American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting how there are people who maybe weren't swayed by those open label studies that showed FMT worked, but now they have a placebo controlled trial that demonstrated FMT is effective.

"People are very debilitated by these recurrent cycles of infection and this gives them their lives back," said Kelly.
