W. Frank Peacock IV, MD, from the Baylor College of Medicine discussed this balancing act for doctors during the European Society of Cardiology's annual congress in London.

Patients who take oral anticoagulants are always made aware of potential bleeding risks that come with the medication. How doctors approach those risks and move forward can determine a patient's understanding of their condition in their daily lives.
