Work has been done to look at what potential benefit robotics could have on patient care for people with multiple sclerosis. While the research looks promising, bringing the technology to the people is still far on the horizon.

Work has been done to look at what potential benefit robotics could have on patient care for people with multiple sclerosis. While the research looks promising, bringing the technology to the people is still far on the horizon.

Albert Lo, MD, PhD, from Brown University discussed the potential benefits of robotics at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers in Indianapolis. Lo said several areas need to be worked on before patients can see the benefits of robotics. This includes adapting the technlology for patients with multiple sclerosis and finding ways to make the machinery affordable to the general public.
