Proper nutrition can benefit everyone but keeping a healthy diet can be especially important for patients with multiple sclerosis.

Lacey Bromley, PT, DPT, NCS, MSCS, from the University of Buffalo discussed the importance of proper nutrition during the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers in Indianapolis. Bromley said "The role of nutrition really does impact the immune system and how much inflammation is going on in our body." Choices like cutting out or reducingitems like sodium, fatty foods, and sugar can help a patient's overall health.
