Patients who suffer spinal cord injuries are getting better help with their condition than they did just a few years ago but there is much more work to be done in this field.

Patients who suffer spinal cord injuries are getting better help with their condition than they did just a few years ago but there is much more work to be done in this field.

As technology continues to evolve Ripul R. Panchal, DO, from the UC Davis Health System said they are in the early stages of a clinical trial looking at ways to help these patients even further. As more is known about stem cells and other areas of medical research Panchal said they are trying to "attack the spinal cord injuries," from the earliest stages to well into the care period to find more effective treatments and allowing them to have a higher quality of life.
