Apparently things aren't that bad. According to the most recent National Occupational Employment and Wage study conducted by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov), physicians earn the nation's highest mean annual wages. More than 750 occupations were included in the study. The following is a breakdown of the 10 highest earners in health care:
