WOMEN'S WEALTH
American women apparently arenot matching their growing earningpower with increased confidence intheir fiscal acumen. According to asurvey by the American Institute ofCertified Public Accountants, only30% of women think of themselvesas confident when it comes to fi-nances. Only 25% of those surveyedput most of their money into savings, investments, or a retirement plan, and just 1 in 10 would give up smallpersonal luxuries like manicures inorder to boost their savings. Morethan a third admit to another financialno-no—they run balances ontheir credit cards and pay hefty interestrates instead of paying off creditcard debt in full every month.
