Dear Dr. Brown,
I completely agree with your editorial in the February issue that says technology is going far beyond being a "perk" that just saves time - technophobia is becoming more of a handicap nowadays that goes beyond just filing taxes. The Internet alone offers something as simple as coupons, sales, and promotional products that are now sent through e-mail or posted on vendor Web sites. Private practice Web sites or professional homepages get more attention than patients' phonebooks. I even received a mortgage quote that offered a quarter point lower interest rate only if I made the payments online. With such a push for technology across all boards, you'll regret sticking to old habits and letting the benefits pass you by.
